. {28' Twin-Outboard shrink wrapped for transport to the East Coast}
Why/when to Shrink-wrap? Hey... it's San Diego... Do I need this? If you plan on putting your boat into extended storage; let's say over 3 to 6 months or longer, you should consider shrink-wrap in addition to winterizing [pickling] your boat, systems, and engine. Benefits:
For most boats, we use white 7 mil virgin resin material to reflect UV, extend life of covering, and reduce heat transfer. All sharp edges are padded to prevent poke-thru and lower hem is secured to the bottom of the boat to help carry both wind and rain loads. Covers can be reused, a few times, if removed carefully. Options available: Zipper door, 4"X5" weather-resistant vents, and deck-top framing. We also use blue shrink wrap material where heat captured from the sun would be an advantage. Green houses, temporary work enclosures, outside water tanks, and boats stored in colder climates would all benefit from a naturally slightly warmer interior, during the day, if desired. Can we shrink-wrap other stuff? Yes. Examples: machinery pre-loaded on a inter-model flat rack or platform, temporary work rooms, dust containment areas, temporary roof on new construction projects, covers for fresh concrete, and many other temporary outdoor and shipping needs. Our service is mobile but cost is less if brought into our boat yard. Call us for specifics.
